There is a log of concern amongst retail traders about a big crash. I wanted to share some data in regard to the overall market.

Here are the share repurchases made during the latest quarter. This is why the market has been buoyant. And why historical P/Es are practically meaningless right now.

During 2008 and every previous market crash/panic/etc. share repurchases were minimal or … illegal. So you can’t compare today to any period in history.

Until companies stop buying back shares the market will continue to be buoyant. That is just the way of things.

You also can’t really tell when share repurchases have stopped either.
