Rate cut. Duh.
Bid pressure was low this morning so it was an easy 8% gain on flipping IWM 0.00%↑ puts on strength. Made two such flips.
Of course I closed before the FOMC rate decision release. Nothing has been more telegraphed than this meeting results.
What matters going forward is the dot plot and meeting notes to come out in January and see just how wary the committee is about continuing rate cuts. My guess is they will shift back to protection against inflation and show less concern for the job market.
Powell mentioned during the press conference the Fed would be buying short-term treasuries to “support effective control of policy rates.”
Read that as QE as discussed previously. Don’t fight the Fed is back short-term. Wall Street likes free money.
Market reacted positively. Now, we watch swaps on CoreWeave and others for any signs of stress in the AI space.
As discussed previously, Keybank’s CEO went defensive and upped the company’s rate of share repurchases stating and conference yesterday
“We are an undervalued stock. We believe that strongly, and we’re going to spend our capital buying our stock”, Gorman stated. Thus, management expects to repurchase $200 million worth of shares in the fourth quarter of 2025, higher than the previous outlook of $100 million.
CEO’s care about making payments on their beach houses.
NasdaqCM:$ENVB moved up premarket over 100%. We tracked post-RS stocks on the home page to keep track of low floats for 20 days post-RS. The news was patent related. Here is the link to that news.

NasdaqCM:$BBGI ran 400%. The stock recently and very briefly dropped below the channel. The only news today was the election of a new board member and I don’t see a direct connection to Trump in her resume.
We have played this stock before but missed it today. July’s volume spike was not enough to trip any alerts.
Hopefully, the market can coast for the rest of the year and then we can rotate to our 2026 market plan.
